My work with chalk began with R&B Haircraft, and proved such a talking point that these murals have snowballed since. I contribute art direction and typography, while some artistically-talented friends usually handle the illustrations. They're all done while the client is present, and we'll often workshop elements of the design with them as the mural is taking shape.
Inspiration is drawn from pop culture, bad puns (visual or otherwise) and the personality of the business we're working with.
