Komorebi

I wanted to improve my videography skills in a new environment, but I didn't want that to be the focus of this trip, or to be lugging around camera gear to every destination. I decided to put that old saying "the best camera is the one you have with you" to the test, and filmed the above entirely on a Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone. Over a few months after the trip ended, I slowly wrote a soundtrack and pieced together footage and visuals until I arrived at this - a journey through three major cities of Japan.
